The Red Fort of Delhi is a historical fort that is the pride of Delhi as well as India. This fort was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty for about 200 years, until 1857. The Red Fort is situated on the banks of the Yamuna River and the entire fort is surrounded on three sides. It is located near the Salimgarh Fort in Delhi.
Every year on 15 August, the Independence Day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag at the Red Fort. There are many places to see in the Red Fort such as Rang Mahal, Mumtaz Mahal, Khas Mahal, Hammam, Shah Burz, Diwan A Khas, Nahar A British. The work done in it was done by very good artisans. Sheesh, Mahal is situated in the north and south parts of the fort. There is also a special palace designed in the most beautiful and exquisitely designed way for the emperor, especially for personal use such as worship and gold.

There is also a Shah Burj which was built for the personal conferences of the emperor and to relax. There is also a Moti Masjid built by Emperor Aurangzeb in the palace which has 3 very beautiful domes that are very grand in appearance.
